Vigopex may inspect, weigh, measure, sort, repackage, or consolidate shipments for operational efficiency, transportation safety, or cost optimization. Shipping charges may be adjusted based on actual weight, dimensions, or volumetric calculations.
Vigopex may transport shipments using air cargo, sea cargo, or third-party transportation partners. Transit times vary depending on shipment type, transportation method, customs processing, weather conditions, port congestion, and operational factors.
All shipments are subject to customs inspection and applicable import/export regulations. Customs authorities may delay, inspect, seize, reject, or confiscate shipments at their discretion. Customers remain responsible for all duties, taxes, customs fees, penalties, and compliance obligations.
Any delivery or transit timeframe provided by Vigopex is an estimate only and is not guaranteed. Vigopex shall not be liable for delays caused by customs, transportation disruptions, weather conditions, carrier limitations, government actions, or force majeure events.
Customers will be notified when shipments are available for pickup in Haiti. A valid identification document may be required before shipment release. Vigopex reserves the right to refuse release of shipments when identity verification is insufficient or account balances remain unpaid.
Customers are responsible for retrieving shipments promptly after notification. Shipments not picked up within 15 calendar days after customer notification will begin accumulating storage fees at a rate of $1.00 USD per day per shipment. All outstanding storage fees must be paid before shipment release.
Shipments remaining unclaimed for more than 60 calendar days may be considered abandoned. Vigopex reserves the right to dispose of, liquidate, donate, or return abandoned shipments at the customer’s expense in order to recover unpaid balances, storage fees, and operational costs.
Packages may occasionally arrive with damaged external packaging due to transportation or handling by third-party carriers. Vigopex may repackage shipments when necessary for transportation safety or operational reasons. Customers must report visible damages promptly upon pickup.
Vigopex provides document forwarding services for the movement of physical documents from Haiti to the United States via air cargo only. Documents are forwarded through a two-leg logistics model: international air cargo from Haiti to Miami, Florida, followed by domestic final delivery within the United States via a third-party domestic carrier selected by Vigopex. Customers remain solely responsible for the legality, authenticity, and transport eligibility of all documents submitted. Document handling, prohibited document types, packaging requirements, customs obligations, confidentiality, liability limits, and tracking procedures are governed in full by Sections 7 through 7J of the Vigopex Terms & Conditions, which are incorporated herein by reference.
Vigopex reserves the right to refuse, suspend, delay, inspect, or cancel any shipment deemed unsafe, suspicious, prohibited, improperly packaged, non-compliant, or unlawful.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Vigopex is not an insurer. Customers are encouraged to purchase additional insurance coverage for valuable shipments. Declared shipment values may require supporting documentation such as receipts or invoices.
Claims related to loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 15 calendar days following pickup or delivery. Supporting documentation, photographs, receipts, and shipment information may be required during claim investigations.
Vigopex reserves the right to modify or update this Shipping & Storage Policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of Vigopex services constitutes acceptance of any revised Policy.
